Just a quick heads-up - Lake takes toll on aluminum, and even though their battalions layer of the skin with products such as "sharks" from the rest of the boat (rails, trim, etc.) is always open to damage from salt water. However, there are tons of people with the pontoon in salt water. If you are looking for pontoon boats, the most important things:
1) Check the pontoons of the damage
2) Welding - Welding on a pontoon all together, by welding seams on the dock holding brackets (that attach to the deck), they are, where you can see the problems that the welds are subjected to stress principle, if the boat is moving , make sure they are not cracked or damaged in any way.
3) Low - marina pontoon, most with wooden floors (such as aluminum, but stay away from plywood), most marine these days is a bit much - but it is very painful to replace it, all that, walk through the whole boat feeling for soft spots.
4) the engine is probably no need to mention, but she receives a check for the compression and TAke a walk, take the safe operation.

These solutions are the important things, everything else is cosmetic or simple - hope that helps
